Russia's president has agreed to a proposal calling for both Russian and Georgian troops to move back to their initial positions and stop fighting. The plan also calls for discussion on future status of Georgia's breakaway provinces. Georgia has not yet agreed to it. There are still sporadic reports of clashes.
　
A single-engine plane crashes in the parking lot of a shopping plaza in Massachusetts, the pilot and two other passengers were killed. The Angel Flight was bringing a cancer patient from Long Island to a Boston hospital.
　
A Florida police officer has quit, two others have been fired after a patrol car dashboard camera caught them punching and kicking a handcuffed suspect. West Palm Beach police released the video Monday. The suspect suffered a broken jaw and bruised eyes.
