At least 90 aftershocks have followed yesterday's 5.4 magnitude quake in southern California. It's caused only limited damage and a few injuries, but officials say cell phone service was greatly affected.
　
Israel's prime minister says he plans to resign in September. Ehud Olmert says he won't run in his party's upcoming primary election and will step down after the vote. His brief statement today included harsh criticism of ongoing police investigations of corruption charges against him.
　
Police say an Army sergeant charged in the death of a pregnant soldier was the father of her unborn baby, but Edgar Patino was married to someone else.Patino made his first court appearance in North Carolina this afternoon.
　
And a software glitch crippled the baggage handling system today at an American Airlines terminal at JFK.The problem delayed some flights at the New York airport and caused a luggage pileup at ticket counters.
